Can you say OINK?

Let’s examine the Obama - Pelosi - Reid Stimulus Bill. WOW… $850 Billion… can you say… OINK?

This will be the largest spending bill ever enacted by any government… ever! FDR’s ‘New Deal’ looks small compared to this debacle. This will be the largest transfer of wealth form the private sector (you and me) to government… ever!

The expense to the average family in the USA will be over $10,500 per family. On average that’s what a typical American family spends annually on food, clothing and health care in an entire year!

$142 Billion in Federal Education funds… OK… but isn’t that an education expenditure… it’s certainly not a economic stimulus expenditure!

$87 Billion in State Medicaid bailout… OK… so Medicaid is funded by a formula that matches state spending levels with federal dollars… if we keep bailing out states that over spend… each state will have no incentive to spend responsibly. Taxpayers in Indiana will be paying for irresponsible spending in Illinois. Shouldn’t this be in a health care bill?

Expanded Medicaid and SCHIP coverage… or basically the enacting of a nationalized health care policy with no debate. The government will now be spending more on health care than the private sector… does the term ‘socialized medicine’ (under the guise of economic stimulus) ring a bell?

$35 Billion for the Dept of Energy… the DOE current budget is only $23.8 billion annually. This is a 147% budget increase overnight! Shouldn’t that be in an energy bill?

Redistribution of wealth… refundable tax credits for people who do not pay taxes! Can you say “Nanny State” and “Entitlement Mentality”? Can you say ‘Change’? Can you say ‘spread the wealth around’?

More and more pork… (as they call it in DC… ‘sweeteners’) and Obama said he was going to eliminate pork in the federal budget! I guess this is just like when he said ... there will be NO lobbyists in my administration! Oops!

Wow… check out the elimination of this pork… $650 Million for digital TV coupons, $600 million for Government cars (OK… that will help the auto manufacturers) but $50 million for Endowment for the Arts, $200 million for repairs to the National Mall including $21 million for sod. And the list goes on… and on… and on!

This isn’t an ‘economic stimulus’ bill… it’s a massive redistribution of wealth and huge increase in the size of government.

Oink, Oink, Oink!

Sincerely,

STOP the INSANITY!

Reality Check! Let's look at the stimulus packages and job creation!

Obama's new economic stimulus package is somewhere around $850 Billion (for those of you who are math challenged... that's an $850 with nine zeros behind it... yes, nine zeros behind it). Add that to the Bush economic stimulus/bailout of $750 Billion... (again that's $750 with nine, yes nine zeros behind it)... and you have $1.5 Trillion... again that's a damn big a number... so let's just write it out so you can actually see the number... $1,500,000,000,000 or $15 with 11 zero's behind it. My brain can't keep up! My calculator doesn't have that many places!

So this is going to save or create 4,000,000 (four million jobs)... wow... the number 4,000,000 at one time was a rather large number... now it seems rather small! Anyway...

So... $1.5 trillion dollars.... to create 4 million jobs.... holly crap... that's $375,000 per job...hold on... is my math correct... $1,500,000,000,000 divided by 4,000,000... yes, that's $375,000 per job! Sign me up and send my check to the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!

Are you kidding me... we're spending $1.5 trillion tax dollars to create or save 4,000,000 jobs at a cost of $375,000 per job. This is insane! My Kids and Grand Children are going to be paying for this... forever!

Email your Congressional Representatives (for those of you that are politically challenged that's your Representative to the US House of Representatives and your two US Senators... tell them to... Stop the frick'in Insanity!

Sincerely,

Birth control as an ecomomic stimulus!

Now here is a perfect example of liberal wacko logic.

"Family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost.
The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of
what we do for children's health, education and some of
those elements are to help the states meet their financial
needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned,
the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the
federal government."

Exact words from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi! Hundreds of millions for Birth Control in Obama's trillion dollar economic stimulus package.

Now how the hell is spending 300 million dollars on birth control going to stimulate the economy? Family planning services (educating ignorant individuals on the subject of what makes babies) isn't going to stimulate the US economy. Purchasing condoms isn't going to stimulate the US economy or create jobs since almost all condoms are produced overseas. US taxpayer dollars paying for abortions.. now that will actually put some money into the economy!

Is it bipartisan as Obama keeps calling for? ... No... but that's OK because Obama clearly pointed out... he won!

The apple CAN and DOES fall far from the tree!

I remember JFK. Dynamic young President with vision! Thanks for the race to the moon. Viet Nam and Bay of Pigs... um... not so much!

I remember Bobby Kennedy? I met him in 1968 when he visited my hometown. He died the day I graduated from High School.

Teddy... well I can only say if it happened today Teddy would be facing vehicular homicide! I always wanted Teddy to win the Democratic nomination for President so I could display a "Remember Mary Jo" bumper sticker.

Now it's Caroline Kennedy's turn...or maybe not... or maybe so... or maybe not! I was waiting for Governor Patterson to come to his front door, open it, look both ways and whisper... It's Caroline!

So this is what the people of New York deserve?

"I'm really coming into this as somebody who isn't, you know, part of the system, who obviously, you know, stands for the values of, you know, the Democratic Party," "I know how important it is to, you know, to be my own person. And, you know, and that would be obviously true with my relationship with the mayor."
... "You know, I think, you know, we're sort of, uh, sharing some of this experience. And um, as I've said, he was a friend, a family member, and um so, and uh obviously, he's, you know, he's also had an impressive career in public office."

What? ... WHAT? WHAT did she just say? Sounds like a valley girl on Valium! I apologize to all valley girls for insulting them! Did anyone from Patterson's office even talk to her before considering her for Hillary's seat? Is Patterson also deaf? This woman works in EDUCATION?
DNA does NOT qualify someone for the U.S. Senate! God help America and the people in New York!

You know, um, I guess, um, the, um, you know, apple, um, CAN and, you know, DOES, um, fall, you know, um, far from the, um, you know, tree!

Sincerely,

Isn't Oprah's weight gain really GOOD for the business of Oprah?

Now this is a thought that is probably going to piss-off 90% of the woman that read this... but I would bet most of the guys that read this will agree with me (if they still have ability to produce testosterone)!

OK, here I go... so I was having dinner with friends the other night. Our High School kids were attending a Winter Formal together and as parents we stopped for dinner after the proverbial photo session. Now these are close friends. We vacation together every year and our kids interact socially. My friends know and understand I always believe there's more to any story... more than what you actually see, hear or read. Our friends know my personality naturally questions just about everything! So after dinner during the conversation on the drive home I throw out this thought... Isn't Oprah's weight gain really GOOD for the business of Oprah?

Now believe me... I am NOT a fan of Oprah! As I put it, she is a major contributor to the 'dumbing down' of America! I am not questioning the fact that she is a very successful brand and has capitalized financially on that brand. I only question the sincerity of the brand and the negative byproduct of the brand. I first developed this impression when I overheard her interviewing a guy that claimed he was married to 2 different women at the same time. Had two families in different areas of the U.S. This guy was explaining how he juggled 2 homes, 2 wives, and multiple children in 2 separate locations... and neither relationship new what was going on. The bullshit alarm went off in my head! I knew this was pure bull and couldn't understand how Oprah didn't also realize this was a total lie. She just continued to interview this clown and never questioned his honesty. So my impression of Oprah was tainted after that and eventually she did admit it was a total fraud. I'm not even going to mention all the book scams she's been sucked into... let's leave that alone at this point.

So back to my original thought... Oprah gaining weight is really GOOD for the business of Oprah! A huge revenue generator for the Oprah brand. The weight gain and subsequent loss will generate hundreds of hours of TV shows and thus, hundreds of millions of dollars of TV advertising revenue for the Oprah brand. Countless interviews with the latest diet gurus and thus, millions of dollars of diet book sales for the Oprah brand. Hundreds of articles in her magazine and thus millions of dollars in advertising revenue for the Oprah brand. Get the picture... Oprah gaining weight is really GOOD for the business of Oprah!

I'm just questioning the sincerity of the action and ask everyone to keep an open mind when considering the results.

Sincerely,

So what happened to Kwanzaa in 2008?

The end of 2008 just seemed to be lacking something! The Messiah had been elected and would soon solve all our problems, pay our mortgages, fill our tanks with cheap gas and stabilize our bankrupt economic system... yet something was missing! I heard Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays & Happy Hanukkah greetings as I passed friends in the street and listened to radio and TV spots... yet... something was missing! What was it? Then I suddenly remembered... KWANZAA.... what the hell happened to KWANZAA in 2008?

You remember KWANZAA... that pseudo holiday created in 1966 by Ronald McKinley Everett; aka: Ron Everett; Ron Karenga; Ron Ndabezitha Everett-Karenga (Ndabezitha being Zulu for 'your majesty'). Yup, the same Ron Karenga known for his 'United Slaves' organization and his connections to the Black Panthers. You guessed it, the same Ron Karenga convicted in 1971 of felony assault and false imprisonment for assaulting and torturing over a two day period two women from the United Slaves organization, Deborah Jones and Gail Davis. That's right, the Ron Karenga that whipped Deborah Jones and Gail Davis with an electrical cord and beat them with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. Yes, the same Ron Karenga that placed a hot soldering iron in Miss Davis' mouth and against her face and tigthtened a vise on her big toe and put detergent and running hoses in their mouths. What a guy! Yes, that's the same Ron Karenga we all know and love, the creator of KWANZAA!

Now you remember KWANZAA don't you? That week long celebration that has its roots in the Black Nationalist movement of the 1960s, and was established as a means to help African Americans reconnect with their African cultural and historical heritage by uniting in meditation and study of "African traditions" and "common humanist principles". (Just a note: Since when is torture a "common humanist principle"?) I digress.... KWANZAA... the last seven days of the year spent in celebration, featuring activities such as candle-lighting and pouring of libations, and culminating in a feast and gift giving. Now I'm sure you remember KWANZAA!

So what happened to KWANZAA in 2008? I didn't hear one national media outlet, news channel or radio station even mention KWANZAA in 2008! In fact I didn't hear anyone mention KWANZAA in 2008!

To tell the truth... I'm kind of disappointed. Knowing the history of KWANZAA, I got a kick out of hearing national radio, TV, news channels and other media outlets offering 'Happy KWANZAA' to it's listeners.
Happy KWANZAA... it just has that ring that makes me smile!

I hope KWANZAA comes back in 2009! I think I going to need something to smile about!

Sincerely,
